Opwekking (Engels: revival) of (religieuze) opleving is een periode van geestelijke vernieuwing binnen het protestantse christendom, vooral in de angelsaksische dergelijke opwekking kenmerkt zich door massale bekeringen tot het christelijk geloof en in een gedragsverandering bij de bekeerde. Het woord ‘opwekking’ doet denken aan iemand die dood was, maar uit de dood is opgewekt. Zo kan de Heer ook Zijn gemeente op bepaalde plekken opwekken uit een toestand van geestelijke dood.
